An elderly man has died following an incident at a canal in Watford.
The emergency services were called to Cassiobury Park at around 2.20pm on Wednesday (May 12) following concerns for the welfare of man in a canal.
Paramedics attended alongside the police and emergency first aid was given but police have said the man, aged in his 80s, was pronounced dead.
Photographs taken in the park yesterday show a large emergency presence including at least six police vehicles, at least two ambulances, an incident response unit, and a forensics van.
There was also police tape and a cordon near the canal.
Hertfordshire Constabulary has confirmed the man's next of kin have been informed of his death.
Police added the incident is not being treated as suspicious and a report will be prepared for the coroner.
