A road was closed off this morning as police arrested a man on suspicion of kidnapping.
Officers were called to reports of a possible kidnap in Hemel Hempstead this morning (May 4) at around 7.40am.
Police quickly responded and located the vehicle just before 8am on Breakspear Way.
The vehicle contained a man and a woman, who are known to each other.
The man was arrested on suspicion of kidnap, but he then suffered a medical episode and was taken by ambulance to hospital for treatment.
St Albans Road was closed westbound in Hemel Hempstead, with queueing traffic between Green Lane and Maylands Avenue as police dealt with the incident.
There were delays on the opposite side due to onlookers.
