Police have made an arrest following a stabbing in a shopping parade in Watford.
An 18-year-old was taken to hospital after being found with a stab wound in The Brow on the afternoon of Tuesday, April 27.
His injuries are not thought to be life threatening or life changing.
Hertfordshire Constabulary says an 18-year-old man from Watford has been arrested on suspicion of assault occasioning grievous bodily harm following the incident.
He is currently in police custody.
Detective Sergeant Helen Dickson said: “We understand that this incident will have caused concern in the community but we hope news of the arrest will assure residents.
“We have already spoken to a number of people locally, but if you witnessed what happened, or have information you think could help us and you have not yet come forward, please don’t hesitate to get in touch.
“Can I ask anyone who lives in this area and has CCTV or a doorbell camera fitted to your property, to review footage as soon as possible to see if you have captured anything of note.”
A police cordon was set up outside the shops in The Brow on Tuesday night as detectives began conducting enquiries into the stabbing.
Tape was stretched across several shopfronts and The Brow was closed in both directions between Newhouse Crescent and Louvain Way.
Numerous police vehicles were parked at the scene and the initial callout involved officers from the Hertfordshire armed policing unit and dog unit.
