Police are investigating after a pet dog was attacked by another dog which got away from its lead.
Hertfordshire Constabulary says the incident occurred in Longdean Park, Hemel Hempstead, around 8.46am on Monday, April 19.
It was reported that a Labrador was bitten by a white Alsatian which had slipped off its lead.
The owner of the Alsatian managed to restrain the dog and get it back on the lead but the Labrador had to go to the vets.
The Safer Neighbourhood Team have been made aware of the incident and anyone with information should call the non-emergency number 101 quoting ISR 111 of 19 April.
