A woman has been banned from entering a road in Bushey for two years under a criminal behaviour order (CBO).

Sandra Johnson, 54, of Falconer Road, must have written permission from police to enter the road after her CBO was extended and updated.

At St Albans Magistrates’ Court on April 9, Mrs Johnson’s CBO, initially put in place in November 2018, was extended by four years after she breached the conditions by engaging in behaviour that caused harassment, alarm or distress.

She was also given an eight-month suspended sentence, which means if she commits any further offences she will go to prison.

During the court hearing, a new condition banning Mrs Johnson from entering Falconer Road was added to the CBO. It is believed to be the first time that such a condition has been put in place under a CBO in Hertfordshire and is designed to protect the residents from any further harassment.

Mrs Johnson has been living at another address as part of her court bail conditions since her arrest in September 2020.

The order also states that she must not engage in behaviour that is likely to cause harassment, alarm or distress or encourage others to do so and she must not park her vehicle in a way that would hinder or restrict access for any other person on Falconer Road. Mrs Johnson is also banned from contacting several individuals.

PC Kris Endersbee, from the Bushey and Radlett safer neighbourhood team said: "I began dealing with this case six years ago after Mrs Johnson had been issued with a caution for harassment. Since then she has continued a course of conduct including crime and anti-social behaviour over many years, predominately affecting neighbouring residents and businesses but also others that were in the vicinity of her home address.

"Having failed to comply with conditions issued under a community protection warning which was quickly escalated to a community protection notice, continued breaches of conditions and allegations of harassment led to Mrs Johnson being issued with a CBO in 2018. Since then she has continued to show no respect for the law, breaching conditions on her CBO which is an arrestable offence.

"I would like to thank the local community for their patience while we have worked to tackle Mrs Johnson’s persistent and unreasonable behaviour, which I know has had a detrimental effect on the lives of residents."
