A Croxley Green pub has unveiled its garden makeover as drinkers return to their favourite watering holes.
At the start of this week England was treated to the long-awaited return of pubs and non-essential shopping following months of Covid enforced lockdown.
And while the joys of shopping and working out are plenty in number, the ‘big one’, the one we were all really waiting for was the return of pubs.
Sure, it is outdoors, and may require a stocky winter coat for the time being, but to be able to drink a nice cold pint of Guinness again – or a bottle of Corona poured into a pint glass, if that is your thing – has gone a long way to dispel the gloom of recent months.
The Red House, in Watford Road, Croxley Green, has undergone a significant garden refurbishment to help happy revellers to enjoy their first pulled pints and pub grub since they were closed in December.
The garden now features a covered heated courtyard, to keep punters warm through the chilly Spring months.
General manager Dee Green and her team look forward to welcoming guests to the newly refurbished garden following a five-figure investment.
Dee said: “After such a long period of closure we’re so pleased to be opening our newly renovated courtyard for guests to enjoy a well-deserved pint, which will hopefully be in the sunshine. The courtyard is looking fantastic, and it is such an exciting time as we welcome guests, both new and old.”
“The Red House is at the heart of the community in Croxley, so we are excited to be able to offer an outdoor area where locals can enjoy a drink or meal together after months of being apart.”
