Watford FC will be closing down its Covid vaccination centre for West Hertfordshire Hospital staff.
Space at Vicarage Road has been utilised as the Team West Hertfordshire Sanctuary to help NHS staff relax and as a vaccination site for staff over the course of the winter wave of Covid-19.
However, the West Hertfordshire Hospitals NHS Trust has announced that the vaccination centre will close from next Friday (April 23).
For West Herts NHS staff, this will be the last chance to get a vaccine jab with the help of the NHS Trust.
Anyone who has not had their vaccine yet is asked to contact the staff hub at 01923217342 or at westherts.covid19@nhs.net

Near the start of the pandemic in April last year, the unutilised Vicarage Road was set aside for bedrooms, training areas for young nursers and counselling rooms, as Watford hospital staff tackled the first wave of the virus.
Then near the start of January, the sanctuary was relaunched to help staff unwind amid the rising cases along with aiding the vaccination programme.
Over the course of the past few months, many staff members have publicly thanked the NHS Trust and Watford FC for the sanctuary and utilising Watford FC’s grounds as a staff vaccination centre.
