A man has been rushed to hospital following a major incident in Watford town centre this morning.
Police are yet to provide full details on a road traffic incident this morning, which led to a man being hospitalised and traffic chaos around many streets of Watford.
Several closures, including Exchange Road, were put in place following an incident at Exchange Road after around 10.15am this morning.
The closures were lifted at around 2.30pm, after around nine police cars and several emergency services were at the scene.
A Essex and Herts Air Ambulance was called to help assist the emergency services.
A spokesperson from the East of England Ambulance Service said: "An adult male was transported by land to St Mary’s Hospital in London for treatment, with medics from the air ambulance also accompanying to provide additional assistance.”
One reader, Roger Middleton, managed to capture images of an air ambulance that landed in Cassiobury Park.
More updates from Hertfordshire Constabulary regarding the incident will be shared soon.
