Thank you for your report on the plan to build a new school on the old Bushey Country Club site. I find this hard to believe. Is it truly correct that another 1900+ pupil secondary school has been proposed in Bushey? How is a small area like Bushey to cope with another massive school with the resulting traffic along High Street as pupils from all the surrounding areas come in to Bushey? Why does an area such as Borehamwood that is much larger only have one secular secondary school but Bushey already has three large senior schools?
From what I have read on social media residents who took part in the consultation have been totally ignored and another school was not want they requested. Is this just another ruse by the Conservative-led council to end up with a much larger housing development built on greenfield land in the end?
