There were reports of a knife being pulled out in Watford town centre during a fight between four men.
Police were called on Friday (April 2) at 2.44pm to reports of a fight involving four men in Clarendon Road.
At the time it was reported to police the fight had finished, but the caller was concerned that one of the people involved may have been holding a knife.
Officers attended and carried out CCTV enquiries.
Hertfordshire Constabulary says that three of the men involved were located but no knives were found and none of them reported any offences.
The fourth person involved was not located, and they are urged to contact police if they wish to report any information about what happened.
An eyewitness suggested that one of the men involved may have been “homeless” and was approached by three men.
Anyone with information about the incident should call the non-emergency number 101 quoting ISR 399 of 2 April.
