Four people have been rushed to hospital after a crash this morning.
Police were called to the A404 Rickmansworth Road, Chorleywood, after reports of a crash this morning (April 7) just after 8.20am.
It was found that a white Ford Transit van, a white Mercedes flat-bed lorry and a red Ford Kuga were involved in the crash.
Police officers, the East of England Ambulance Service and the fire service all attended the scene.
According to Hertfordshire Constabulary, four people were rushed to hospital to be assessed.
The road was closed both ways this morning while recovery was in place.
It caused queuing traffic from the petrol station to the White Horse Pub. There was also congestion to routes through Chorleywood and Rickmansworth as traffic tried to divert.
Hertfordshire Constabulary has confirmed the A404 has now reopened at around 2pm.
Some access was lifted around an hour before to provide access into Dog Kennel Lane and Solesbridge Lane only, but the A404 remained closed to ensure the road surface was safe.
