With regard to the renaming of certain streets in Watford.
Without getting into the weeds of why name changes may be required, there could be a danger of choosing names that are completely different, resulting in local confusion. Therefore I suggest:
Rhodes Way becomes Roads Way. Pretty simple and breaks the nominal connection.
Imperial Way is prefixed with Mint to become Mint Imperial Way. A benign reference to a popular confectionery.
Colonial Way could be become Cologne Eel Way. A bit random maybe but it would stick in the memory of out of town delivery drivers.
As for Clive Way, change it to Derek and Clive Way. A tribute to a pair of much missed entertainers. This would cause no offence, just as long as the easily offended don’t listen to their LPs or watch their shows.
