An indoor adventure course, inspired by television show Ninja Warrior, is set to open at a leisure park in Watford this summer.
Ninja Warrior UK Adventure Park is on course to open a branch at Woodside Leisure Park, inside the former Gambado play area.
Commercial property magazine Property Week has also reported that the leisure park has secured a second new tenant.
New food hall and delivery concept, Gourmet 4, has taken over the vacant Chiquito restaurant and is set to open at the end of April.
News of Gambado's exit from Woodside last summer was met with sadness but there is sure to be excitement at what has been lined up to fill the vacant site.
A snippet from Ninja Warrior's website says: "Do you have what it takes to be a Ninja Warrior? Tackle our fun-packed supervised activity and fitness courses and obstacles inspired by the hit ITV show to find out.
"There are obstacles the whole family can enjoy whether you start as a Ninja in training, or you’re a bit more of a master. Can you beat the Warped Wall?"
Ninja Warrior, which has run on ITV since 2015, already has several courses across the UK, and pictures show an array of different obstacle courses and inflatable fun ranging from ball pits to assault courses, with party rooms.
There are opportunities to climb, balance, jump and swing using and developing your 'Ninja skills', with different areas suitable for different ages (from under fives to over 14's).
Oli Marcroft, head of the leisure team at KLM retail, said: "We have managed to secure two really exciting new tenants on long-term leases during this difficult time. It shows there is still good demand for space in a prime leisure park such as Woodside, which has a successful 11-screen cinema and other leisure anchors.
"Bringing two new leisure entrants into the scheme at this stage of the pandemic demonstrates that despite the well-publicised challenges facing the sector, schemes with strong fundamentals continue to see interest from occupiers who are feeling increasingly optimistic that the leisure market will make a strong recovery."
Nina Warrior has signed a 15-year lease at Woodside, while Gourmet 4 has taken on a ten-year lease.
The companies join Vue cinema, Hollywood Bowl, and Frankie & Benny's at Woodside Leisure Park.
