Police have arrested a man after finding cannabis, steroids and shotgun casings in a BMW.
While on patrol in Boundary Way, Watford, officers came across a suspicious vehicle with three men sat inside shortly after 1am on Friday, March 12.
As they approached the vehicle the driver attempted to flee.
The front and rear passenger both got out and were detained and while holding onto both passengers, an officer managed to spray the driver with PAVA incapacitant spray allowing the other officer to detain and place handcuffs on him.
A search of the vehicle was carried out and cannabis and steroids were found. Shotgun ammunition casings were also found in the boot.
In a post on Facebook, a spokesperson for Watford Police said: “The driver was also deemed to be unfit to drive the vehicle was therefore arrested. He was also arrested for being in possession of class B and C controlled substances and also obstruct [sic] police.”
