Another road closure has been causing delays in Watford town centre.
More disruption is expected over the weekend with a closure heading into town from Hempstead Road - one of the major routes into Watford.
Problems were reported earlier today (Friday) with Affinity Water saying it is carrying out 'essential maintenance'.
A hole has been dug in the middle of the road by the water supplier and fenced off.
The closure is where Hempstead Road meets Watford Central Leisure Centre and West Herts College and it is set to remain in place over the weekend at the very least.
It means there is no through access at all from Hempstead Road into town, with cones blocking the road as drivers approach West Herts College - there is still vehicle access to the college.
There are warning signs along Hempstead Road letting drivers know about the upcoming closure, with diversion signs in place.
A picture showed some drivers maneuvering past the closure, via a small gap to the right.
But traffic management contractors were presumably made aware of this and called in to put in more barriers.
The closure has been causing queues in Langley Road, which runs alongside Hempstead Road.
Traffic heading out of town and up Hempstead Road is unaffected, but there is no access around the outside of The Avenue car park.
Hertfordshire County Council tweeted the repairs are expected to be completed by Monday.
This closure comes only a couple of days after nearby Rickmansworth Road opened, following a burst pipe which occurred last Saturday.
Meanwhile a road closure on the A412 in Rickmansworth may also be in place until Monday.
Affinity Water is carrying out repairs here as well.
The road is shut by Rickmansworth station towards the Uxbridge Road junction only.
