Demolition work is complete and developer Countryside has started work on phase 3 of South Oxhey Central.
This will include 345 homes, a Lidl supermarket, and 6,500sq ft of further retail space.

The first homes in the latest phase are expected to be ready in autumn 2022, with Lidl due to open in late 2022.
Overall the scheme will deliver 645 homes and shops, including a Lidl supermarket.
Phase 2 of South Oxhey Central is almost finished, with all of the new shops open alongside a market square.
Out of 174 homes built in phase 2, 132 are now occupied, with the rest due to be filled by the end of April.
Homes built in phase 2
So far, 264 homes, including 96 homes for social rent and 21 homes for shared ownership have been built in the scheme, a partnership between Three Rivers District Council and housing provider Home Group.
Council leader Cllr Sarah Nelmes said: "Having top quality homes and retail space for businesses is essential for any local community to thrive. The Covid pandemic has really shown the importance of strong local communities where people feel proud to live and support each other.
"So it’s great news that this project continues to deliver on its promise to transform this area of South Oxhey and deliver hundreds of new homes for social rent, shared and private ownership."

Daniel King, regional managing director at Countryside, said: "From the transformed Station Approach to the new market square and high-quality homes, we are proud of how we have delivered on our vision for South Oxhey Central. We’re looking forward to continuing this success with Phase 3, which will complement the existing community and retail scene with a varied mix of homes, additional retail space and Lidl supermarket."
Joe Cook, executive director of development at Home Group, said: "The successful redevelopment of South Oxhey Central is so important for the wider South Oxhey community. Phases 1 and 2 have already brought a new vitality to the heart of the area, and feedback to date has been really encouraging. We are delighted to now be starting on Phase 3."
