It’s disturbing to find yet more trees being earmarked for the chop on Oxhey Lane in Carpenders Park near the junction of By The Wood. Soon there will be none left.
On what basis has Hertfordshire Highways deemed that a mature oak tree which is supporting bird nests and an eco-system, and has stood for years, suddenly poses a problem?
The way our natural environment is being stolen from us before our very eyes is concerning and unacceptable.
The way trees are removed without any public consultation or an environmental impact assessment being carried out is reckless and negligent.
One day people will wake up to find their previously leafy backyard has been reduced to a concrete desert.
