A six-year-old has joined dozens of others opposing a plan to build over a green space.
Imogen Cox is concerned about a proposal to build three homes and six flats near her uncle's flat in Sycamore Road in Croxley Green.
Imogen was playing on a swing where the homes are proposed when she spotted a planning notice stuck to a tree.
She decided to send the following email to Three Rivers District Council, via her mother's address.
Imogen wrote: "I don’t think there should be more flats in the garden because people need gardens and if people are shielding, they can’t go out. They need fresh air, or they could get very poorly.
"I have been to the events here like the bonfire and lots of people looked like they enjoyed themselves and it would be sad if they couldn’t do it anymore."
The applicants, Kebbell Development Ltd, which have built a number of homes in the area, including Imogen's uncle Jonathan's, are proposing to build over part of the current green space - described by fellow resident Gareth Morris as the "best bit" of the space.
Mr Morris, who has lived in Sycamore Road since 1986, previously told the Observer: "From spring through to summer, the land is used on a weekly basis. We’ve had marquees on there, meetings, and family celebrations. But it is also a great place to walk around.
"It’s a green open space which is threatened by a development which would take that space out of the picture. There are no other green spaces around here."

Nearly 70 objections have been lodged on Three Rivers District Council's planning portal against Kebbell's application.
The applicants have already been knocked back three times by the council, most recently in 2005, to build on this particular piece of land.
A council planning officer will decide whether to approve or refuse the plans, with a final decision expected by March 23.
The planning application, which is still open to public consultation, can be found here.
