A caravan encampment was quickly escorted away from the grounds of a school over the weekend.
Hertfordshire Constabulary has confirmed that police were called to caravans entering the grounds of The Reach Free School in Mill End on Saturday (February 20) just after 2pm.
Initial reports suggested that there may have been near to 30 caravans, but Hertfordshire Constabulary says there were 11 caravans logged.
After confronted by the police, the site was cleared at 3.30pm.
It is understood that the school gates may have been damaged to enter the site, and The Reach Free School were contacted for further information.
There has been no confirmation or indication whether this encampment was linked in anyway with a ‘large’ funeral held in North Watford today.
