A funeral procession for a life-long Hornet is expected to pass Vicarage Road stadium this morning.
Club record goalscorer Luther Blissett has invited fans to pay their respects to Michael Molyneux, known as 'Mole'.
Mr Molyneux, 65, was a programme seller and steward at Watford FC and supported the Golden Boys since the age of three.
His funeral will take place today (Tuesday February 23) with Mr Blissett revealing details about the funeral on his Facebook page.
He wrote: "Calling all members of the Travelling Hornets Football Team and friends of club legend Michael "Mole" Molyneux.
"I have been talking with Mole's lovely sister Caroline and passing on your messages of sympathy and friendship and it has also now been arranged that Mole will make his final journey as if he planned it himself...past the Vic.
"It is expected that the funeral procession will pass the stadium around 11am tomorrow (Tuesday) morning. Should any local fans wish to honour this much loved golden boy, please remember the rules with regard to essential journeys, gatherings and social distancing.
"For all Hornets everywhere, perhaps take time to acknowledge this moment with a fitting personal tribute. We have also set up a donation page to raise funds for the Watford FC Trust https://bit.ly/3k18y8r
"Safe journey Mole, what a chat to the Boss you will have on the Golden Bench!"
