Work to replace street lights will lead to eight weeks of overnight closures of parts of the M25 and A405.
Highways England has advertised phased overnight closures of both carriageways of the M25 between Junction 20 with the A41 and Junction 21A with the A405.
This is expected to start from Monday, February 22 and last for around eight weeks. Work will take place between 10pm and 5.30am from Mondays to Thursdays, 11pm to 6am on Fridays, 10pm to 6am Saturdays and 10.30pm and 5.30am on Sundays.
The work will also affect as the northbound carriageway of the A405 from the slip road with the M1 at Junction 6 to Chequers Lane, the southbound carriageway of the A405 from Mount Pleasant Lane to the road leading from the recycling centre, all the slip roads and links to these roads, including links from the M25 to the M1 at Junction 6a.
The roads leading from the southbound carriageway of the M1 at Junction 6, the road leading from the northbound cariageway at Junction 6, all of the side roads at junctions with either carriageway of the A405 between M1 Junction 6 and M25 Junction 21A will also be closed, as will any bus stops on these roads.
Hertfordshire County Council has announced notices of temporary road closures and waiting restrictions in streets across the area.
The council intends to close a stretch of Catseye Lane, Bushey, from the around 73m northwards from the junction with Vega Road from March 10 for up to 18 months so utility service works can be carried out on or near the road.
There is also an order to impose temporary closing and waiting restrictions in roads in Oxhey Hall for highway drainage and deep cleaning works.
These include Gladstone Road, Watford, from its junction with Queens Place to the junction with Stanley Road; Grosvenor Road, Watford from its junction with Gladstone Road to its junction with Derby Road; Stanley Road, Watford, between junctions with Gladstone Road and Grosvenor Road, and Derby Road from its junction with the A411 Beechen Grove to its junction with Grosvenor Road.
Parts of Cross Street, Sutton Road, Thorpe Crescent, Colne Avenue, Woodwaye in Oxhey Hall, Sherwoods Road Elm Avenue, Benskin Road, Euston Avenue, Belgrave Avenue, Kelmscott Crescent and Kelmscott Close, St James Road, Chester Road, Holywell Road, Ashby Road, Dell Road, Chestnut Walk, Elm Grove, Beech Road, Woodside, Middle Way and Cherry Tree Road and Oakdene Road will also be affected.
