A shopper became ‘verbally and physically abusive’ after being confronted by a security guard at a supermarket.
Hertfordshire Constabulary says the incident occurred at Asda in St Albans Road, Watford, around 12.30am on Friday, February 12.
It was reported that a security guard at the supermarket had observed someone attempting to steal some alcohol.
When the guard confronted them, they became verbally and physically abusive, the force said.
- A man in his 50s was arrested on suspicion of a racially aggravated public order offence, theft, assault and possession of class B drugs.
