A stretch of one of Watford's busiest roads will be resurfaced following pressure from councillors.
Labour members in North Watford have said Hertfordshire County Council has agreed to resurface a section of St Albans Road.
County councillor for the area, Cllr Asif Khan, says the road will be relaid between the junctions of Balmoral Road and Leavesden Road.
His colleague Richard Smith, a borough councillor in Leggatts, says the road is "riddled with potholes" with the party sharing a number of photos taken of the road recently, which highlight the potholes.

Cllr Khan said he and his colleagues have been campaigning for the area to be improved and had been happy to see work undertaken on pavements in St Albans Road.
He said it was "great news" that the road will be resurfaced.
No date has yet been set by the county council for when the resurfacing will take place. There are plenty of practical issues to sort out, not least because of how busy St Albans Road is.
Dennis Watling, a Labour candidate for Callowland, said: "I’ll be working closely with Cllr Khan to ensure that a date is set for residents. As a local myself, I know fixing St Albans Road cannot come soon enough.
"I’ll continue working with residents and officials to make sure our area can be in the best condition possible."

Earlier this month, Cllr Khan also raised concerns about flooding along this stretch of St Albans Road, which he says is due to blocked drains.
