An air ambulance was called out South Oxhey to take a man to hospital.
The helicopter landed in the field next Hampermill Lane near the junction with Oaklands Avenue.
Hertfordshire police say it was deployed as a precaution.
Police assisted the ambulance service during the incident shortly after 9pm on Wednesday, February 10.
A spokesperson for Herts Police said: Police were called at 9.06pm on Wednesday (February 10) to reports of a man injured in Oaklands Avenue.
"Officers assisted the ambulance service and the man was taken to hospital. The air ambulance was also deployed as a precaution."
