Hello, my name’s Sugar and I am a beautiful three-year-old girl. I live with my sister Olive who’s the same age. We came to the National Animal Welfare Trust on December 2 when our owner had a change in circumstances.
I can be shy and need a gentle, confident owner to teach me that being cuddled is actually quite pleasant.
Like most rabbits, I don’t like being picked up as being so high off the ground makes us scared. But if you play with me on my level, I’m really very sociable and enjoy attention once I get to know you.
I love my food, especially kale and pears.
As sisters, Olive and I get on very well and enjoy chasing each other through the tunnels and making music with our toys.
We have always lived outdoors so we will need a large hutch with an attached run on a concrete base so we can’t tunnel our way out.
Olive is a Lionhead with a lovely mane so she will need to be groomed regularly. We are looking for a home with adults or families with children of any age although the grown-ups must do the handling.
We rabbits are very affectionate and can bond closely with our humans. You’ll say I’m biased but we make great family pets.
If you can give us a loving home, email reception@nawt.org.uk or call 0208 950 0177 (option 2) to arrange a visit.
