A man who carried a large kitchen knife as he stole a delivery driver’s motorbike has been arrested.
Police were called to Newhouse Crescent, Watford, yesterday (January 23) after a takeaway delivery driver had his motorbike stolen.
The driver parked the motorbike and left the engine running as he delivered the takeaway, and a man used this as an opportunity to steal it.
Officers flooded the area and spotted the bike entering Boundary Way.
The motorbike was stopped, and the driver was arrested for its theft.
But as officers searched the man, police also found a large kitchen knife in his waistband and a large bag of cannabis in his pocket. Consequently, he was further arrested for possession of the knife and a class B drug.
