Hi, my name is Betty and I’m a beautiful seven-year-old girl with a cute miaow. I was brought to the National Animal Welfare Trust in December because I was scared of the children in the family.
I’m a friendly girl and will roll around and act all flirty when I meet you, but am easily spooked, so need an experienced and gentle owner who understands I can be nervous of human touch.
My ideal owner would be understanding, respect my body language and not pressure me to be affectionate - just being around you and the odd short stroke on the head is enough for me to let you know I care.
Although I am not a big cuddler I do enjoy being groomed and like playing. My favourites are the soft toy, the ball, the fishing rod and the scratching post. I also like my food, so treats are a good way to win me over.
I’m looking for a quiet home with adults or families with children aged 16 and over and will need to be the only pet in the home. Once I’ve settled in I will need access to the outdoors so I can explore.
Coming from the NAWT, I’ve been medically checked by a vet; vaccinated, microchipped, wormed and neutered; and come with four free weeks of Petplan insurance.
If you can give me a good home, email reception@nawt.org.uk or call 0208 950 0177 (option 2) to arrange a visit.
