These incredible pictures showcasing the spectacular scenery and array of wildlife in Scotland were captured by a talented photographer and late Watford Observer advertising manager.
Jamie Gilmore, who died in November at the age of 50, worked for this newspaper’s parent company Newsquest from August 1998 to February 2004 before moving to Scotland five years later. This gave him the perfect setting to utilise his gift to the maximum.
Jamie’s friends on Facebook have been able to enjoy his photographs for several years and we can share a selection of his work with you with the kind permission of his sister Sam, who has selected 20 of her late brother's favourite pictures.
Sam has also set up a JustGiving page in memory of Jamie which has so far raised more than £1,000 for the Glencoe mountain rescue team.
She wrote: “His spiritual home has always been Glencoe and he had huge respect for the work of the mountain rescue team.
“Sadly many people were not able to attend his funeral due to current restrictions so we thought it would be great to raise some money for the mountain rescue team in his memory."

We have included the location or message Jamie posted with each picture where possible, but he did not caption all of his photos.
