Boxing heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua has teamed up with his former school to keep pupils physically fit during England’s third national lockdown.
Kings Langley School headteacher David Fisher managed to 'employ' the Watford born boxer to provide a workout for students to complete at home.
It comes as schools across the country remain closed during lockdown, which was enforced on January 6 as a result of high Covid-19 case rates and pressure facing the NHS.
In a seven minute video published on the school’s website, pupils are able to follow along with Joshua as he completes a range of exercises, including pushups, squats and reverse lunges.
During the video, Joshua, who attended the school when he was a teenager, said: “I know how tough it is for you guys at home, I know you are doing all your lessons live.
“I commend you, I know it's not easy but your commitment will pay off.
“But it is also important to keep your mind active and keep your body active. Mr Fisher has actually employed me so I have come down here to put in my time and give you a workout plan.”

Revealing that Joshua had done the video for pupils, the school said on twitter: “Mr Fisher has a little surprise for the students on our remote platform and website. We look forward to your feedback on how students and parents use these along with the live PE lessons to stay physically healthy during this period.”
