Two nurseries around the Watford area have been rated by parents as being among the top 20 in the region.

The House That Jack Built Nursery in Bricket Wood and Little Learners Montessori in Merton Road, Watford, have come out among the top, out of 1,150 pre-schools in the East of England.

They were rated by dozens of parents and carers on overall standard, facilities and outside space, learning, resources and equipment and ICT, care, activities, staff, food and nutrition, management, cleanliness, safeguarding, and value for money.

The many positive reviews on daynurseries.co.uk mean the nurseries have received awards from the website.

Owners of The House That Jack Built Nursery, Phillippa Munns and Becky Siegal, said: “We are absolutely delighted to have won this award so thank you so much.

Amanda Hopkins, reviews manager of daynurseries.co.uk, said: “We would like to congratulate The House That Jack Built Nursery on being rated by parents as a top nursery in the East of England. Being chosen as one of the best nurseries by family and carers of children that attend the setting is a huge achievement.

“This year has been a huge challenge for nurseries, many of whom were offering childcare to vulnerable and keyworker children during lockdown and have now opened up fully, giving parents and children that vital return to ‘normality’.
