A group of bowlers were kicked out of a Hollywood Bowl after displaying offensive racial terms onscreen.
The youngsters were playing at the intu Watford Hollywood Bowl branch yesterday (September 27) for what was believed to be a birthday party, before they were asked to leave for writing offensive terms as the player names on the digital bowling scoreboard.
On display were names including ‘Hindu’, ‘P*ki’, ‘Mr Bomber’ and ‘Arab’.

An Egyptian family, who were playing in a bowling lane near to the racially provoking names, complained about the group after confronting them.
A spokesperson for Hollywood Bowl Group said: “An incident took place at our Watford Intu centre yesterday (September 27) in which a group of customers were asked to leave the premises after using inappropriate and offensive language on one of the bowling lanes.
“Hollywood Bowl takes matters of this nature very seriously and we do not tolerate anyone who uses racist or offensive language in our centres. The Watford intu team dealt with the incident swiftly and we apologise to any of our fellow customers who were affected.”
