Volunteers spent their weekend mending a broken archway in Cassiobury Park.
The arch in the Peace Garden at the park was being looked after by the Watford Interfaith Association (WIFA).
WIFA described the Peace Garden online as a "small haven of calm" which is located on the edge of the park near to the Watford Bowls Club.
The association said the arch was found broken last week and said it "would never know" how or why it happened.
But it suggested that someone may have swung on the arch which then brought it down.
A team of volunteers gathered to the park on Saturday (August 22) to mend the broken arch as well as to take care of the rest of the garden.
It is currently in the process of full repair and the association said it hopes it will be strong enough to concrete back into the ground at a later stage.
