More than 30 McDonald's drive-thru restaurants have reopened today including THREE in our area.
The fast food giants said it would be looking to reopen more branches this week as long as safe measures were in place for both staff and customers.
McDonald's has kept its promise - announcing this morning that 39 drive thrus are opening including in North Watford, Garston and in Bushey.
The drive thrus in St Albans Road, in North Watford and Garston, and on the A41 near Bushey, opened today at 11am and will stay open everyday between the hours of 11am and 10pm.

However, there will be a cap on the amount you can spend, which is no more than £25 per car.
We are reopening 39 Drive Thru lanes across the UK and ROI. These Drive Thru pilot restaurants were all chosen as they are close to one of our distribution centres as we continue to prepare our supply chain for reopening. pic.twitter.com/HqvctFo63k

Customers are encouraged to pay contactless and not with cash.
Smaller teams will be working at the branches so queues are likely.
McDonald's has also warned it could close drive thrus again.
A spokesperson said: "With restaurant teams adjusting to new procedures to enable safe working and social distancing, things may take a little longer – and high demand is anticipated.
"McDonald’s and its franchisees are working closely with local authorities and the police, and may determine that it is necessary to close Drive Thru lanes if queues cause disruption at busier sites or put employees or customers at risk."
McDonald's says it has introduced perspex screen at drive thru windows and employees will wear protective equipment.
There will also be floor markings inside the restaurant.
All McDonald’s employees will be asked to confirm they are fit and able to work, and contactless thermometers will be used to take employee temperatures upon arrival at work for every shift.
McDonald's in Watford High Street and in Asda remain fully closed.
McDonald's says it hopes to reopen all drive thrus in the UK by the beginning of June.
