One photograph showed a man, presumably the biker, lying in the road, being seen to by paramedics.

Another photo shows a fire engine, police, and a paramedic response car were also in attendance.

Meanwhile, a blue Ford Focus, which was the car involved in the crash, can be seen parked up on the pavement with clear damage to the front of the vehicle.

The bumper can be seen hanging off, while the motorcycle is lying in the road just behind the Ford.

Watford Observer:

Buses were also stacked up as queues formed due to the road being blocked by the emergency services.

Hertfordshire County Council, which warned drivers to avoid the area at around 1.20pm, announced that St Albans Road was open and clear again at 1.40pm.

The bike was recovered.
