A Watford orchestra will be joined by the leader of the BBC Concert Orchestra for a concert later this month.
On Saturday, March 28, Audentior Symphony Orchestra will perform Bruch’s famous first violin concerto in G minor, with acting leader of the BBC Concert Orchestra Charles Mutter.
Bruch’s masterpiece will be paired with Mendelssohn’s ‘Hebrides’ overture – inspired by a stormy boat ride out to the Scottish Isle of Staffa – in the first half of the performance, and the concert will finish with Dvorak’s sunniest work, his eighth symphony.
The concert will be the second in Audentior Symphony Orchestra’s debut season, and follows on from their sell-out film musicconcert in December.
St Michael & All Angels Church, Mildred Avenue, Watford, Saturday, March 28, 7.30pm. Details: 07508 407 892 buytickets.at
