A temple has closed after a member tested positive with coronavirus, according to a statement on its website.
Bhaktivedanta Manor Hare Krishna Temple, near Bushey, has been shut until further notice after a worshipper tested positive for Covid-19.
In a statement released on its website, the manor said: "In the interest of the health of all devotees and visitors as a precautionary measure the temple is now closed to the public.
"It will remain closed until further notice.
"All planned events (Sri Krishna Haveli opening, Gaura Purnima festivities etc) at the temple from today (6.3.20) until Monday (9.3.20) have been cancelled.
"Sadly a member of the congregation tested positive for COVID-19. The person has not been to the temple but others have been in contact with them.
"The temple will be deep cleaned after which it will again be open.
"The cleaning may take anything between 24 to 48 hours. If you have service at the temple, please contact your service authority."
The manor is the Hare Krishna's largest temple in the UK.
Every year, the manor welcomes tens of thousands of visitors for Janmashtami, one of the most important festivals in the Hindu calender - but this event takes place in August.
