A popular high street pub has been taken off the market.
JD Wetherspoon has announced it is no longer selling The Pennsylvanian in Rickmansworth high street.
The Pennsylvanian was one of 16 pubs put on the market by the pub chain earlier this year, with the company saying it was a "commercial decision taken after long consideration".
But today, a Wetherspoons spokesperson told the Observer: "Despite the pub being up for sale a few months back, we have now decided that it should remain as a Wetherspoon outlet.
"This is good news for the staff and we are sure it will be welcomed by the pub’s customers too."
JD Wetherspoon, which operates nearly 900 pubs, has its headquarters in Watford.
Its founder, Tim Martin, has pledged to slash the price of lagers, spirits, wine and cider if the UK leaves the EU because he says leaving the EU would allow the government to slash tariffs on imported goods.
