The new Chairman of Watford Borough Council has been named.
Cllr Asif Khan of Leggatts Ward will be replacing Cllr Rabi Martins.
The new Vice Chairman has been named as Cllr Aga Dychton, who represents the borough’s Central ward.
Cllr Khan said: "I am honoured and privileged to be made Chairman of the council. I will work with my fellow councillors, the whole community and charities to advocate and highlight the very best of Watford - a town that is inclusive, tolerant and caring for all its residents."
Elected Mayor of Watford Peter Taylor said: “I’m delighted that Cllr Asif Khan has been appointed as our Chairman and Cllr Aga Dychton as our Vice Chairman.
“They will both make great ambassadors for the town and I look forward to working with both of them.”
Cllr Khan accepted his role at a Chairman making ceremony at the Annual Council meeting in Watford Town Hall on Tuesday May 21.
