McDonald’s has confirmed that one of its restaurants has closed down for good.
The branch in The Parade in Watford town centre shut on Sunday and is now boarded up.
The fast-food giants said the decision to close the restaurant, near Watford Market, was “not taken lightly” but did not reveal the reason behind the closure.
A spokesman for the company said: “We are sad to confirm that one of our restaurants in The Parade closed permanently on Sunday May 12. The decision to close the restaurant was not taken lightly and all members of staff have been offered employment in our other restaurants nearby.”
The nearest McDonald’s is just down the High Street opposite one of the entrances to intu Watford.
McDonald’s also has two branches in St Albans Road, one in Asda Watford, and one on the A41 in Bushey.
