Firefighters have safely tackled a bus fire which broke out this morning.
A fire engulfed the rear of an Uno bus in Radlett Lane, Shenley, at around 7.15am.
All passengers and the driver got off the bus and there are no reports of any injuries.
Radlett Lane in Shenley has reopened following the fire which happened close to the entrance of Shenley Park.
A photo from the scene shows the bus in a ditch and a fire towards the back of the vehicle.
Hertfordshire Fire & Rescue has confirmed it was called at 7.17am and sent crews from Borehamwood and St Albans. The fire service has confirmed the fire has been put out.
The fire is being treated as accidental.
A 602 bus travelling in the opposite direction was caught up in the incident.
The affected bus was travelling towards Watford.
Radlett Lane was shut between Porters Park Drive and Faggotts Close.
There were long queues as a result of the closure from Shenley Lane in London Colney all the way up Black Lion Hill in Shenley.
Traffic was also gridlocked along Harper Lane towards Watling Street in Radlett.
All delays have cleared.
