Two men have been arrested and charged after a man’s hand was reportedly "chopped off".
The Watford Observer understands the man suffered “life-changing injuries” in circumstances yet to be confirmed in Long Elms, Abbots Langley, on Sunday at around 8.30pm.
Hertfordshire Constabulary said a “knife” was used to attack the man – but other reports suggest a machete was used.
The victim was taken to hospital for surgery.
Che Ambe, 21, of Caractacus Cottage View, Watford, has been charged with grievous bodily harm. He appeared at Hatfield Magistrates’ Court today and was remanded in custody until March 18.
A 17-year-old boy from Watford, who cannot be named, was arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm. He has since been released with no further action.
Hertfordshire Constabulary say they are not seeking anyone else in connection with the incident at this time.
