A new cinema is a little over two weeks away from opening in the heart of Watford.
Cineworld, part of the intu extension, will open its doors on December 14 and boasts all of the latest technology to provide the best viewing experience you can get.
Boasting nine screens, including Screen X, a 270 degree screen, and just the sixth in the UK, Cineworld provides a viewing experience like no other and one that people in Watford are unlikely to have seen before.
The huge IMAX screen seats 475 people while Screen X can accommodate 222 people. You will have to pay £3 more on top of the regular ticket price to watch a film in Screen X but not all films will be available on this platform.
The cinema will feature IMAX with Laser, its ground-breaking new laser experience that delivers powerful images and immersive audio to transport audiences into blockbuster movies like never before.
The cinema will offer a Baskin Robbins ice-cream counter and a Starbucks.
Jay Zaman, Cineworld Watford general manager, said: “We can’t wait to open our doors to movie fans in Watford on Friday 14th December. With an exciting line-up of films, like Aquaman, Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse and Mary Poppins Returns, we look forward to sharing our love of film with the local community.”
Cineworld is part of the major intu extension that has seen shops and restaurants open over the last couple of months. Hollywood Bowl is set to launch in mid-December.
