An exciting new climbing centre in the heart of Watford will open in just a couple of weeks.
Rock Up will unveil its new centre inside the intu centre which will include 27 climbing walls suitable for all ages, with some towering over 8m tall from the Skyscraper to the Leap of Faith.
The centre not only boasts climbing walls but a soft play area and a café for those whose heights may not be their cup of tea.
No experience is required to tackle the walls but it is certain to provide a fun experience with friends or family.
Rock Up will officially open on September 8 and a lucky family have been invited to cut the ribbon.
The Watford Observer were invited for a tour of the 8,000 sq ft site last month and the centre has since been developed ready for its grand opening.
Aiden Kirwan, Rock Up Watford site manager, said: “We’re delighted to be bringing Rock Up to Watford and want to introduce the locals – whether they’re four or 94 - to fun climbing. We’re working full steam ahead to get everything ready as we prepare to welcome thrill seekers from nearby, as well as appealing to those looking for fun from all across Hertfordshire.
“So, come and rock up the Twister, climb the Stairway to Heaven, or set a record on the speed climbing – a visit to Rock Up is the ultimate test of courage and makes for a fun activity that families can enjoy together.”
Rock Up can be found in the intu centre on the lower floor near WH Smith.
