There is so much to like about Watford, speaking as a member of Watford Rotary Club, my number one like is the people. Their generosity and kindness never ceases to amaze me, especially when we are making our collections at Christmas time. I am often asked if the money goes to local charities and when I confirm it does, they always give.
I also like the large variety of restaurants available in Watford. Whatever your taste, there seems to be a restaurant to cater for it. It’s also a town that seems to cater for everyone, young and old, from discos to comedy clubs, plus we are blessed with not one but two theatres and shortly an Imax cinema and Hollywood Bowl plus we even have a museum to visit. Watford will really be buzzing, I can’t wait for the finished result.
I also like the fact that we have many green open spaces at our fingertips where I can relax, go for a walk and just admire the peace and quiet.
We have the Grand Union Canal to walk along and some really nice pubs to visit. Last, but by no means least, we have our own Premier League team. When you take all this into account, there are very few towns like Watford that can offer such a variety of things to do. So what do I like about Watford?
The complete package.
