Watford Conservatives have launched a new website to bring together businesses and community groups in the area.
The aim of the Community Connect Initiative is to provide details of any available community engagement, investment or corporate responsibility programmes that Watford's businesses and enterprises have in place.
Conservative mayoral candidate George Jabbour spearheaded the project after being inspired by Watford MP Richard Harrington's annual Jobs Fair.
He said: "We have launched Community Connect to provide an accessible website that signposts local groups and organisations to community programmes and investments."
Mr Harrington explained the website provides information for different businesses including how to apply for funding or support.
He said: "In the same way that the Jobs Fair has been connecting companies with vacancies to people looking for a job, Community Connect will provide a link between businesses and local causes to benefit our community. I think this is a fantastic initiative."
Sarah Hayes, a Woodside council candidate who came up with the idea, added: "When meeting with Watford's businesses and enterprises, I am always impressed by their passion and generous support for local causes."
George Jabbour will stand in this year's mayoral elections in Watford alongside Labour candidate cllr Jagtar Singh Dhindsa and Liberal Democrat candidate Peter Taylor.
