A man who reportedly held a sharp object to a teenager’s throat in an unprovoked attack on a bus in Watford has been remanded in custody ahead of his trial.
Chad Howard Nymn, 38, of Carlisle Road, London, was charged with common assault, possession of an offensive weapon (bottle opener), and possession of a bladed article (scissors).
He is due to appear for trial at St Albans Crown Court on January 29.
The alleged attack, which occurred on the upper deck of the 142 Arriva bus travelling to Watford Junction station, took place between 10.30am and 11.10am on Wednesday, September 20.
During the incident, a 16 year old boy was reportedly verbally abused by Nymn before being subjected to an unprovoked attack.
Nymn is said to have held a sharp object to the victim’s throat and threatened him.
The victim did not sustain any physical injuries.
