Travellers have set up camp on a former school site in South Oxhey.
The travellers invaded the former Little Furze School site, in Gosforth Lane, yesterday afternoon and police have confirmed that at least three caravans are still there.
Police said Hertfordshire County Council, that owns the land, is dealing with the situation.
Rachel House, speaking on behalf of Hertfordshire County Council, said: “We became aware last Thursday morning that travellers had moved onto the site of a disused school in Gosforth Lane, South Oxhey.
“An officer from the council visited the site on Friday morning to assess the situation and consider what action may be necessary.”
