The West Hertfordshire Hospitals NHS Trust is demonstrating its commitment to fighting MRSA and other infections by organising a number of "Think Clean Day's" throughout the year.
The aim is to promote the importance of hospital cleanliness to staff, patients and visitors.
During the day teams of hospital auditors, led by Modern Matrons, visited wards and departments to check the cleanliness of the environment and find solutions to any cleanliness problems found.
Gary Etheridge, Chief Nurse/Director of Patient Services, Quality and Risk said: "The Trust takes hospital cleanliness extremely seriously and these days are an excellent way of reminding staff, patients and visitors of the importance of a clean hospital environment.
"It is really gratifying to see how everyone has worked so hard to make these days a success and I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone for their support and hard work."
