High tech 'robo-cams' are being tested by police on the beat in Three Rivers.
Neighbourhood officers will wear the lightweight head-camera to record any incidents they attend.
Hertfordshire Constabulary hopes the unusual initiative will act as a deterrent to trouble-makers in the area.
The equipment has already been put into use in the King George V playing fields where police claim to have obtained "excellent footage".
