POSTAL voters from Bovingdon, Chipperfield and Kings Langley are being warned about errors and inconsistent information on their ballot papers.
The forms have been sent out giving contradictory advice about the number of candidates to vote for in the wards for all three villages.
And ballots sent to voters in Bovingdon and Chipperfield also have an incorrect logo against one Liberal Democrat candidate. However, the wording about the candidate's details and party is correct.
People affected have been sent letters by Dacorum Borough Council to explain the problem.
Council chief executive and returning officer Daniel Zammit said: "I'd like to sincerely apologise to voters for any confusion or inconvenience caused by these printing errors. We are focusing all our efforts on rectifying this mistake.
"It is too early to determine the cause of the error. We will be investigating in due course, but for the moment our primary concern is ensuring the smooth running of the postal ballot."
